This project involves changing the administration section of OSCommerce. The front end functionality will be added in a separate bid request.
The first part of this project will be to add a vehicle selection aspect to OSCommerce.
In the administration section, I need something to add/delete vehicles to/from a database. A vehicle consists of a Make, a Model, and a Year. This should work similar to the rest of the OSCommerce functionality, where I can click a button and add a vehicle. Then, the vehicles should be displayed like the Categories/Products, where I can click on a row and delete a vehicle that is already in the database.
Then, there has to be a way to associate a vehicle with a product. I should be able to pick one of the vehicles I created along with one of the products in the database and their corresponding IDs should be stored in a table together. I should be able to add new associations, or delete associations, similar to the vehicles above. This should be totally separate from the first part.
Finally, I need a way to specify a parent product to another product. I should be able to edit a product, or create a new one, and optionally pick another product that is the new product's parent. This will be used to display information on the front end of the site.
Please let me know if I need to clarify things further or if you have any questions.
