I am new to this site and to programming, I am trying to finish building my website and i need some help. I did employ the services of a programmer before and it was a bad experience for me, so I am hopeful that i may have better luck from someone here.
I have purchased a 'flash gallery', it basically shows pictures in a nice fast neat gallery. I purchased it because i want to try and change the code from just 'jpeg' pictures to allow html pages? So each jpg. picture will become a page sent and updated from my server/database.
The page is a race card (for a game of dog racing), it has 6 traps and some minimal form lines on it. the idea is that we can click on an available trap and join that particular race. We already have all this on my site, but it makes the process of entering races long and drawn out, besides the added visual of the gallery will make it much more neater,
The gallery has 12 topics (as of now) which will represent "months of the year" , you click a month and will then see the "days in that month", you click a day and you will see "all the races for that day" you click a race, it enlarges the picture and you can join it by clicking the vacant trap. This information is sent to the server and in turn the server sends it back to the gallery to update it and prevent someone else from trying to enter that trap/race also. (as it will now show as entered).
I spoke to the person who i purchased the galley off, he said unfortunately he has not got the time to do it, but reccomended here and said it should be quite simple to change.
Please help if you can do this, i can send more details if you require and i can afford to pay a small amount of money but not much.
