I need to develop a website that is built on the combined ideas of [url removed, login to view] and [url removed, login to view] . Please check them thoroughly in order to get an idea of how this works. For checking how the buying-pixels mechanism works, check [url removed, login to view] (This is different than the [url removed, login to view]).
Graphic design requirements: I want the website to be polished, have the web 2.0 look and feel, and be inviting. Both websites mentioned above do not suit my graphic design requirements. I leave this up to the designer, but a simple crisp word-press style design is welcomed. There should be an area for a logo on top of the page, ability to add links, no ad-banners and no google-ads locations are needed. Logo design will be discussed during project.
The website is (mainly) a single-page website with a picture displaying in middle of page, which is a zoomable, clickable picture, that will consist of a million-pixels (or other units). The other non-core pages are "testimonial" , "social feeds", "guest book", "contacts us", and other pages that can be created dynamically by the admin.
I want to build a million (unit) dynamic large picture that is zoom-able to every distinct unit which can then display a full-page poster. Each single least buyable unit is composed of 10x10 of the original units. Which means, if the original-sized (zoomed out) picture totals to a 1,000,000 (1000x1000) pixels, then the smallest buyable unit is a 100 (10x10) pixels box. When zoomed in, very much in the [url removed, login to view] style, a larger and larger version of a single unit will then display, so that the final zoomed-in display of a single unit will be a ratio of 1:20 maybe, I leave this to your graphic design skills as I am not quite of the ideal ratios. However, the idea is that if someone wants a full page-ad to display when zoomed in, they'll probably need to buy 9 units (9x 100 pixel units) of the zoomed-out state.
Users can select which (units) to buy, and based on how many units they bought, they are asked to upload a pictures with a resolution matching the max-zoom size of the units. Let's say a user buys 1 unit (which maybe 10x10 pixels zoomed-out), and that the ratio of zoom-in we used is 1:20, then the max zoom-in state of their picture will be 200X200 pixels; the picture the user is required to then upload has to have a resolution of 200x200. The website can then automatically create the different version of sizes so that the picture can show in different states as uses zoom-in and out (Check [url removed, login to view] and try to zoom-in and out, then notice how pictures become clearer when you zoom in, till they reach maximum zoom). Users can buy pixels in the same manner that can be seen on "milliondirhampage.com" , please choose "Get Pixels" from top, then continue to select some pixels, you will notice that you can select pixels in a "Box" or "Rectangle" shapes. When users are asked to upload a picture, they can upload to a single unit, or any number of units they bought (at once), and the picture size they're allowed to upload will be based on how many pixels they select (of the pixels they bought) after they complete the purchasing . However, only Box shaped pictures can be uploaded, so 200x200, 400x200, 400x400, 600x200 pixels, are all valid combinations.
Once users complete the purchasing, the units they bought are linked to their accounts under which they can upload a picture to. The work flow once users purchase and upload is for the web administrator to approve the uploaded pictures prior to displaying them on the live picture as to prevent profanity. The web administrator needs to have full capabilities for editing these pictures, changing the placement of them, upload pictures on behalf of each user, and carry all administration tasks.
The website is to be optimized for Search Engine Visibility, to be secure, and to be fully manageable from the administrator side.
More info will be provided later.
