are looking for a someone who develops an image-browser software for running on a server.
The software could be developed in either C#, PHP or Java.
The functionality is the following:
We have a full HDD with images (PNG, JPG, ICO,...) which we want to make searchable via a webbrowser.
Software should scan our image directory on this HDD and scan all subdirectories. It should index all image files (file names, paths, image meta data, size, date,...)
Afterwards it should provide a web interface allowing us to search images by different criteria (parts of the file name with AND and OR, filetype, etc.). the research result should display all found images on a result page by shoding a thumbnail view and allowing the user to click on an image to view it in full size or to download it.
There should be two different thumbnail-sizes that the user should be able to choose from. Search results should be display max 100 images per page and then allow the user to jump to the second result page, etc.
We need support for all current formats (like .bmp, .jpg., .png) and especially .ico should be supported (also in the thumbnails).
What is important: New files should be added automatically to the index and old files need to be removed automatically. i.e. if we add new PNG and ICO files to the HDD or move them or rename them or delete them then the web application needs tp notice it. But of course thins indexing process could happen e.g. every 30 minutes or so.
If you have an existing software that you want to reuse and extend then this is OK.
