I am in need of an excellent, experienced website designer. Must be proficient in Joomla. The website is an IP. Board 3.2.0 with a current CMS Portal in which the articles, menus, etc need to be transferred and categorized into [url removed, login to view] CMS Portal Template that closely matches what I have now, along with a central moving graphic for main news articles that would integrate with my IPB Forums.
Thank you for looking.
After talking to my technical assistant, I think a little more information is required. We currently have a copy of Article Live software that contains approx. 2000 articles. The copy of Article Live is login and cookie integrated with a copy of IPB 3.1 and they share a common look and feel.
We also have a copy of IPB that is login and cookie integrated with our IPB forums. We have an existing script that imports these articles into Joomla. We have a basic working wrapper that has all of the IPB login box, PM checking etc. in a basic Joomla template.
The problem is that we need the rest of the work completing on the template, in particular, we need the layout completing in CSS only. We will not accept a table based layout. The result must be XHTML compliant before our content is displayed. The layout is currently a 3 column fluid layout, but we require more flexibility than that.
We need the central area to expand and fill the page if either the left or the right or both columns are empty.
We require the resulting site to work in IE7 onwards, Firefox 3 onwards, recent versions of safari recent versions of Opera and recent versions of google Chrome. We do not expect it to work in IE6.
The article editor to be used when editing articles will be the CKEditor, which is available as a Joomla plugin already and will be provided.
To assist the developer, once the contract is agreed, we will supply a test copy of the site configured with Joomla integration and an imported copy of our existing articles. Also, let this be perfectly clear, the winning bidder will be the person best qualified in our opinion to complete the job. We will not be choosing someone based on price alone.
Attached is an image of the sites front page with the content of all block positions munged. This should give you a pretty clear idea of what we are looking for.
All module positions should collapse leaving the site in a proper layout if content is not available for those positions.
We will not agree payment until we have seen the template with all positions available and with each on in turn collapsed.
