I am looking to use JIRA as an internal job tracker. However, jobs require interaction with customers so I need a customer portal. A way for customers to login, submit jobs, view the status of their job, post comments and updates regarding their job, accept or reject the job, pay the bill / view the invoice, etc. This would need to integrate with Jira and Alfresco via API.
(Perhaps this can be done with Drupal/Liferay/or custom app)
The portal will need to read and write to Jira and Alfresco as the customer will need to view, edit, submit, etc. their tickets that exist in Jira. They will also need to access files and upload files that will reside in Alfresco.
When working in JIRA regarding a "job" or ticket, we would upload files to a ticket but they would be stored in Alfresco. The same goes for the customer portal. customers would upload files to their "jobs" or "tickets" but the files are actually stored in Alfresco.
The web portal should also store the customers information i.e. CRM.
