The goal is to create a way to use a podcast RSS feed (for example [url removed, login to view]) as a data source for a jPlayer audio playlist ([url removed, login to view])
As i see it, the main challenge is that jQuery does not allow for cross-domain XML to be used within its sources. I've tried using jGFeed ([url removed, login to view]) but haven't been able to get it to output correctly to the jquery code
DifficultyFilter: the end result of the coding should be usable in wordpress. One of the goals of this project overall is to be able to use it either on its own or as a wordpress plugin. I'm happy to separate this out into two separate projects.
First Deliverable - Code allowing the following:
PodcastWidget('RSS-url','height: XXpx','width: XXpx', [other jPlayer options able to be customized here, with defaults able to be set within the original source provided]);
Second Deliverable - Wrapping the code into a wordpress plugin allowing for the following:
[podcastwidget url="RSS-url" height="XXpx" width="XXpx" (other options)]
