We are looking for a designer to help us integrate an OsCommerce Shopping Cart in with our current site. We currently use "But It Now" button links from items that are static on the site and placed on each page. Those links currently go to a 3rd party shopping cart. We would like to move away from that by using an OsCommerce cart instead so that the site is dynamic and more easily searchable. We do have a lot of content on html pages that we would like to keep, so that we can continue to modify it ourselves as necessary. So most likely, the first page of the site will remain a .html, and the rest of the site with the product portion would become OsCommerce.
The designer may need to create images for headers/footers/item catagories that match out current site as closely as possible. We can work with you to provide as much digital content in that matter as possible.
We extensively provide digital downloads for purchase by our customers and will need that functionality setup. Customers should also be able to create accounts if they would like, and their downloads that have been purchased should be re-downloadable from their accounts.
The cart will be home to about 1,500+ digital items that we will setup ourselves. The designer is only responsible for a small test percentage to ensure functionality and to assist with determining product appearance throughout the site.
We are in need of each item's product image to be displayed in Flash so that when the item is moused over it moves, but not as an animated gif, Flash only. The designer will need to be able to integrate Flash in the item descriptions. We have working samples of this currently on the static site we run, and also an OsCommerce site someone else created, but we need it to be functional in the new integrated OsCommerce site as well.
We use a credit card gateway, as well as Paypal and Google checkouts and will need those functioning in the new cart.
We have our own dedicated hosting server that we will be using to host the project running Windows.
After completion of the project, we are looking for someone that will also be available in the future to assist with questions and possible upgrades/updates at additional costs to us on a per need basis.
We are located in the US, and are looking for someone with good english speaking skills, preferably able to be reached regularly by telephone, and can start right away.
We aren't looking for the cheapest bid. We're looking for the best quality job and time frame for delivery, and someone that we can use in the future that will be available.
