Hi, Odd request.
But I need a site that will be used to display photos at events i take photos at. They are usually large, 4000 photos per event.
The photos will be put into a local directory on my computer at different times though out the day.
I will then have 2+ laptops/ tablets running this local web page being hosted off my main computer.
I wish it was that easy but i need clients to be able to enter a user name they make up that will create a new folder in a directory on my local computer that photos they "favourite" when they are looking though the photos will be coppied to.
so i need a start page with a field that lets them type in a user name ( soon to be folder name in the backend)
Then a the main part of the site that has two parts, a bar on the left hand side that will be a file explorer that lets you view the folder tree of the photos that will be split into different folder, ie:
They can then select the time they want to view and the photos will then populate on the right hand side taking up the rest of the screen space.
I want this to be clean looking.
Then when they select a photo it will show a larger preview and in that preview window you will have the option to add to :"favourites"
When they click add to favourites i want that photo to be copied from the directory they are in being viewed to the directory when the users folder has been created.
All of this needs to be done with out an internet connection and i will be using a ad hoc network.
Sounds bad but i need it by this sunday.
I am happy to do the graphics and making it look good side.
I know a bit about all this but i just have the time to do the research to finish the back end off.
I would like to be able to edit the site in dreamweaver.
I would also like the site the look good and work well on a tablet but if its going to be to hard for the money im offering then its not a huge thing
