I require a simple script that can do the following.
When a person arrives at a URL. For example lets use [url removed, login to view]
A Script will execute and run (from his location) a ping to two servers. It will then redirect the user to a specific url based on which ever server responds first.
I.e. I browse to [url removed, login to view], from my computer, a ping is then done to return milisecond response times for [url removed, login to view] and server2.example.com.
[url removed, login to view] returns 350ms response and [url removed, login to view] returns 98ms response. The web browser will then be directed to [url removed, login to view] OR if it was the other way around, the browser would direct to [url removed, login to view]
While this is happening, the website should show our logo and a progress bar based on what the script is going and a simple description of the scripts action. Such as Starting Location Test.... (THEN) Testing Location 1 (THEN) Testing Location 2 (THEN) Redirecting...
Something to this effect.
It is a simple project, so no extrordinary bids please.
Also, full instructions are to be handed over when completed so that I can customise the servers to check and the locations to redirect to.
