Timeslot Adjustment and Management System
Estimated Budget: $1,000 (no more than $1,200)
We have a classroom with students entering at specified intervals, being assigned to particular classroom ‘zones’ and with each student supposed to stay for either 30mins or 1hour. We require a solution able to manage timeslot bookings and waitlisting by parents and which will record and report (both for the administrators and for the parent through an online website accessible through the child’s first and last name and their birthdate) that student’s attendance and activities in the classroom through RFID fob scanners located at specific areas (e.g. if the student has completed their reading for the day they will be scanned off at the Reading Desk and, on checkout, a note will appear saying they completed their reading and time of arrival, departure and duration of stay will be recorded through scanners at the entrance and scanners at the exit).
The web-based part of the system should largely function as a PHP module able to be embedded into a wordpress installation through an iframe with an application also designed for PC (Win 7) and able to register attendance through RFID scans and display alerts for overstaying and alert to completion of particular activities on scanning on the PC. This application should connect to the PHP module and maintain current records accessible to both admin and visitors (only through proper authentication should attendance records be made available – i.e. the first and last name of their child and their birthdate as well as a secret code emailed to their registered email only able to be updated by the Instructor; the attendance checking system will only be accessible to a limited number of users, i.e. invite only, if the parent enters their details and the information does not correspond with a registered user they should be invited to contact the Instructor).
