1. Incoming Calls
Any calls from unregistered callers will be connected to a conference and announce this message “Welcome to the conference service, Calls to this line cost 10p per minute from BT landline and higher from other networks. Please enter your conference number followed by the hash key. If no key is pressed or the caller keys in an invalid pin then announce “that is not a valid conference number please try again”.
Unregistered callers should not know what the conference pin is. They have to register to use this service.
Callers must dial xxxxx to register into the system first to be able to use the service. Once registered, the caller’s number then entered into the database and future calls from the registered number will be diverted to a different ring group (Topup Conference)
3. Using The Service
This service is available from 6PM till 8AM Mon-Fri and anytime on the weekend. If the Caller dials our PRN (Premium Rate Number) outside these hours, they will hear the following announcement “welcome to the conference service, no conference can be found, please try again between 6PM and 8AM when the conferencing service is available.
Once connected to the top-up conference, when the service is available, the caller will hear “Calls to this line cost 10p per minute from BT landline and higher from other networks. You are calling from telephone number (Announce the caller ID) you have xxx units credited to this phone. Please enter a session time in minutes. (If the caller doesn’t enter a session time, then the system will disconnect the call in 54 minutes) an announcement will then be played “the conference will be disconnected in 54 minutes”. There will be a maximum session time of 115 minutes, even if the caller enters 300 for the session time. An announcement should be played every 3 minutes thereafter “you have xxx units credited to (Caller ID).
Whilst a top-up conference call is active, customers will earn 2 units of calling time for every minute the call is connected
The customer will be provided with 6 PRNs for this top-up conference. The caller can only make 2 concurrent calls per number. If the caller tries to make 3 concurrent calls, then they will hear this announcement “You have reached the maximum calls to this number” then disconnect the call.
4. Using the Accumulated Units
Access number will be provided to customers to dial and use the accumulated units for making international calls. When the caller dials the access number, they will hear this announcement “You have xxx units, please enter your destination now”.
Calls should then be forwarded to our SIP provider
For each minute they spend in-call at the number the caller dialed/requested, it will use X units per minute depending on the country telephone code.
We are currently using Elastix 2.3.0 and FreePBX which accomplishes step 1, but the remaining steps need to be scripted. It also accomplishes step 2 although it is manual (registrations are manually inputted into the system) - it needs to be automated.
Further details can be provided upon offer.
