High Capacity Wordpress Site - mutli server + email

Looking to isntall wordpress site installed using 'best practices' for high availability and high capacity.

use of multiple servers ok.

Scope is:

1.) configure lightweight OS web(developer choice)

2.) configure lightweight OS for DB

3.) configure single ip firewall/system/loadbalance using vyatta (or other open source)

4.) stress test

5.) configure email server

6.) configure open source forums
