We have a Linux server running CentOS, Cpanel, WHM, Java, and Red5.
We have a custom flash audio application that works fine with Red5 on a Windows server, but we are having trouble getting it going on our linux server running Red5.
We know Red5 is installed and working correctly as all the demos work and several rtmp strings connect correctly.
We do not seem to know how or why our custom application rtmp string is not working right.
rtmp://[login to view URL]
works perfectly. We get [login to view URL]
rtmp://[login to view URL]
does not work. We get [login to view URL]
All I need at the moment is for a red5 expert to help us get our custom webapp string connecting correctly. I would also like you to explain to us in detail what we were doing wrong.
Our coder says that the only thing you need to do to create a working rtmp string is to create a directory in the web apps directory. That is how it works on the windows server running Red5. Is there something different on a Linux machine? Or are we completely missing something?
