Simple Linux admin task

We need our dedicated server to be able to support MediaWiki running on MySQL-Max.

We need an experienced Linux administrator to provide some quick help in setting up a Linux server. The dedicated server originally came with MySQL v.3 and needs to be upgraded to version 4 with MySQL-Max. Most of the work has already been done (i.e. the MySQL is now at version 4 running MySQL-Max).

The problem we need fixed is this: our admin has been unable to get PHP to connect with MySQL since upgrading MySQL ([url removed, login to view] file is missing).

This should be a very simple piece of work for the person with the relevent experience.

If we are pleased then it is most likely you will be called upon for future help as our current administrator has limited UNIX exposure.

System:

Linux Redhat Fedora Core 2

Apache

MySQL

PHP

The system needs to be set up in this way so as to support MediaWiki running on MySQL-Max.

Skills: Linux, PHP
