Magento - category landing page(s) with sub category images

Hi everyone, I need some small adjustments making to my magento website. Basically we require 3 category landing pages which will show thumbnail pictures of all the sub-categorys contained in that main category. I have found a tutorial from the web explaining how to to this and I would normally do it myself but am a little busy at the moment.
