I have a map program the utilizes Laravel PHP framework. Right now the program features a login page where one has to manually insert email and password then hit submit. I need someone to tweek the script so as to allow one to post a username and password to login.
I wanted to provide further clarification. The program I wish to tweek is Store Finder Pro (codecanyon.net) Currently, a user has to manually login to the system using email address and password. The password is then encrypted and inserted into MySQL database. The problem is, this program will sit inside of a larger website that the customer has already logged into (Site A). Currently, they would have to login in again to access the Super Finder Pro, map program. I believe the solution would be to post to the Super Finder Pro script using internal credentials from (site A). The credentials would be user_id and an internally created password from "site A", that would auto-log the client into Store Finder Pro with one click by the customer. The problem lies with the Laravel framework and their security. The login page will not accept any get or posts. Cannot go directly to any page that even resembles a login. Cannot change required fields. Cannot stop the encryption of passwords. As the map script is inside of larger website program (Site A), none of the security is needed or desired.
I need a solution that will make the map program accept different database fields for login verification. (User_id instead of email) and if possible, stop the enycryption hashing stuff for the password field. (It that cannot be done, I thinking I can work around the encryption by coding in a default encrypted password for all clients, but I suspect Laravel will see that, and throw an error.) The solution should then allow login credentials to be accepted via a post, so users coming form "site A" can login with one click of a button. Laravel and Illuminate are good at throwing errors if everything is not exact. The solution obviously must allow the user to utilize the map program without any errors being served.
I can create an environment where the hired coder can work on the script and MySQL unhindered. Thanks.
