Simple Lead Management

A place to enter, search, log and categorize the leads. Lets us follow these better and enter them. Easy for my dad to use and to look through. Have multiple log-in accounts. Like for our sales people that sell now. We would have a log in for them so they could enter info and add stuff.


a. Who is the originator? Is it the person filling out the form? The person that sent in the lead?

Where the lead came from (IE if it was a trade-in from a dealer, customer, eBay etc)... Id like to add who wrote it .....

b. Is it one of several normal people (that could be placed into a drop down) or is it usually a different person.

Drop down is cool but You can leave it open for writing....

c. Can more than one person be an originator?

Yes, multiple people can be in this spot

2. Buy & Sell are dollar amounts, correct? Are they what you intend to buy the machine for and sell it at?

We usually circle buy or sell (yeah I know huh!) Or if a trade-in they are buying one and selling the other

3. Date. Is this the date the form is filled out, or the buy/sell date?

The date is when the lead was made

We usually put notes in on when they needed if its not ASAP I prefer asking or knowing if this is a NOW or they are in the next 4 months or by the end of the year they want to start looking unless something comes up etc.

4. Address of where the machine is located?

This is address of the company (and normally the machine) unless placed elsewhere and noted that machine location is not at main facility

5. Price / Terms: Are there commonly used terms that can be put into a drop down box?

Price is the price they are willing to pay (budget) or price (cost) and terms (like due prior removal, net, deposit in, etc.) and Net price (if a dealer owns it- he gives us a net and a retail to work with)

6. What is currently done with the lead sheet, once filled out?

Once the lead is filled, there are 4 carbon copies and those copies are distributed. Then they sit. And if someone goes through their stack and call then thats it. I took my stack and filed into buy xxx and sell xxx for each (the tabs line up together and I get them into a hard file)

7. What would you like to happen with an electronic lead sheet?

I would like to log in and have a page that either shows the ones marked as HOT. I would like to see whos logged in to see the lead and whos claimed or appointed to cover the lead and if it needs follow up or if someone is already following it. Like Dad logs in and he can "appoint" and others can suggest. When you log in with your idea it can show simply if something you put into reminders (contact so-and-so or hes to call about this- the lead). Last update. Have leads that are attention for others to be color determined, not anything anyone other than admin can pull off and "steal" unless they went one by one by one, like Daisy couldnt just download the entire listings....


Last- It would be nice to have an "inventory" tab. This is something that could be a spreadsheet when viewed, like a list I can attach and look decent for emailing purposes (I will add you on a Google doc of someones), the buy prices arent seen by anyone that isnt an admin but can be entered if they arent and are filling in inventory, then the sales price and the original asking price. (To show if it went down and by how much- but I wouldnt want that seen by anyone)

Log In:

Our dealers could log in and see what we have available, they can see what ones they have put online and "remove" with the reason of (and make it required: Sold by us, Sold by me, Sold by other & who, Price sold Price paid shit like that if they want to... as much as possible. This would go into an archive bin that I would want to see to hold leads and keep an eye on what happens when and for what price.
