I have one store in osCommerce, one inventory, one wharehouse with personnel working for packing and email answering.
I want to open a new STORE, with a different website address, different design, selling the same products of my main store - but called with different names , and it has to share with my main store the back-end system: the inventory, packing personnel, email answering personnel, and invoice / vat account.
To realize this I need to be able to create 1 or more extra oscommerce stores, on different domains, with different templates and store names, that only share with main store the same wharehouse and personnel.
Customers must not understand that the 2 or more stores are owned by the same company selling the same products, unless they buy from both stores and compare the VAT number on the invoices.
These extra stores must share with my main store:
- a selection of products (not all the products)
- have some products that my main store does not have
- the inventory/stock status
These stores must NOT share each other:
- Login/ account information / order history
- SEO, meta tags, titles, pages, etc.
A customer registered on website A will still have to be registered on website B: registration is not cross-stores.
In my wharehouse I have a stock of 10 apples.
On MAIN Store, customer "John" buys 1 "apple". He receives invoice number 00045 in his package, and my stock goes to 9
On my SECOND Store, customer "David" buys 1 "fresh fruit". My MAIN store inventory knows a "fresh fruit" is an "apple" an my stock of apples goes to 8. David receives invoice number 00046, this invoice was created by my main store's back end system and invoice management system.
On MAIN store, DAVID tries to log-in, but he can't. He has to create an account because he is registered on SECOND STORE, but non on MAIN store.
