We require a script which we can run in the background on a linux server - maybe from a cron job which converts static HTML into PDF.
This may sound straight forward - but we need it to work with the easycharts java applet package from objectplanet.com.
We have tried all the free converters of all descriptions, [including HTML2PDF] with no joy. The only converter we can get to work is the Adobe converter that runs on the adobe site. Obviously we could do this using adobe - but it wont run on Linux and we do not want to setup anymore windows servers!
So to recap: We need a script that can run with no web/screen interaction [i.e from the command line] which will convert HTML into PDF - the script must be able to convert the [url removed, login to view] easycharts applets. The script needs to accept some parameters for Landscape/Portrait etc
Here is a link to an HTML which contains one of these applets for testing purposes.

I would write you a php script for the output process and it could be ran via cron and lynx so there will be no need for a human to load it in a browser.
