Hi, Alastair here,
I have a small company and we run a basic html website. On one webpage is our Flash Dashboard, called our Landline Estimator. This has various fields and sliders which alter the dashboard and give results specific to each user.
I would like for customers to be able to complete their adjustments and send us the resulting flash dashboard. We need to talk to the customer while looking at 'their' specific dashboard. We also will want the dashboard to be alterable - not just screen captures.
Ideally, I want this to come through as a complete dashboard. I don't mind if it copies to our FTP but I would probably prefer it to come attached to an email to us.
Alternately, I suppose that the variables could be collected, transferred and inputted into a matching .swf at our end.
Simply put, the steps are these:
1) the customer alters various fields on the dashboard to reflect their actual data
2) the customer presses an 'Email this to Aussie' button
3) we double click the file, it opens with their data,
4) we discuss options with the client over the telephone
I have already attached the Fixed Line Calculator .swf file. Other files will be attached shortly.
The .fla file has been extracted from the .swf file. [Yes, this is all my copywright - don't worry.] The reason is that the .swf was created using a program called Xcelsius (which is a dashboard creator from Xcell data). So, I have used Trillix to decompile the .swf file. This has given me one .fla file, one .flp file and many .as files (I won't attach all those unless asked).
I have also attached the native Xcelsius file (.xlf) and the native Xcell file (.xls) in case they are needed.
I hope that all is clear to you. I have no preference for programming languages or file types to be used - I will leave that to you as the programmer.
I will give you all necessary support I can in the mean time.
I would like to make a decision on provider within the next day or so.
