The aim of the project is to create a very first version of web based game like [login to view URL] but more focused on civilizzation building. The ambientation is more "future fantasy" in wich magic and technology are blended.
Each player is a "master" a new race born in the galaxy to conquer the universe and the camp base is a colony (some sort of huge ship growing like a metallic planet).
The game HAS AN END. When one player conquest the universe the universe is destroyed and a new one start.
The medium life time of an universe must be around six months.
All the graphics will be produced by dexma.
The very first version requires only the minimals features to start playing:
- players registration/activation/unsubscription
- players login sytem with control panels including:
- buildings creation, maintenance and upgrades
- units creation, maintenance and upgrades
- special units creation, maintenance and upgrades
- technology research, maintenance and upgrades
- population maintenance and grows with multiple races creation option (aliens), each race giving different bunus/malus to the colony
- battles between units
- dungeon in wich players can send explorers to find special powers or secrets
- general statistics about players
We are looking for the bravest developers for this dangerous project ! ;)
Future development will add more and more features if the game is successfull.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
## Platform
We require the project to be coded with the following LAMP technology:
Linux
Apache
MySQL (4.0 or 5.0)
Perl (as perl script running i ModPerl::Registry ... negotiable ;) )
HTML/javascript/css front end
The code produced must be very simple and clean, following the Eric Raymond gold rule, "simple programs connected by clear interface".
