2 bugfixes for PHP and Paypal expert

I need a PHP developer with experience of the Paypal API (express checkout) to fix 2 bugs on a website I own. The code is very clean and logical, but the original developer misunderstood the Paypal API and there are 2 little bugs to fix: 1. When a user subscribes, the code must create a Recurring Billing profile, to charge them $9.95 immediately, then $9.95 every month after. It does create the profile correctly, but charges $9.95 twice. 2. After subscribing, the user account should update via SQL. This does not happen. And they must be updated every month when the recurring billing happens. So you need to detect the "Subscribe OK" and "Recurring Payment" events and ensure the SQL update happens. The code is already there to do all of this, it just needs a couple of simple fixes. (The user cannot be required to have a Paypal account in order to subscribe. I think that's called Express Checkout, but not sure.) What I need is a good PHP developer who knows Paypal API, and can understand the code quickly and correct it. Happy bidding!
