3D AABB collision detection with python

i have a 3D collision detection class project.

i will use this project as practice and learning, so i want a well commented code lines.

Develop a collision detection using AABB collision detection. the collision is between any to two different polygons e.g rectangle and a cone, or cylinder and a square box. should be able to input my own 3D objects developed in solidworks.

the collision should be between a dynamic object (cylinder) and a static object (square box). the dynamic object should approach the static object from the positive z axis (vertical), and horizontal.

use key board arrows to move the dynamic object into the static object. and option to automatically move the dynamic object without using the key arrows.

the dynamic object should come to a stop when collision occurs (bounding boxes intersect). the bounding box should change color once collision occurs. program should output the intersection distance between the two objects.
