I have an online MySQL database (on linux box) with a table that has two varchar fields (both in utf8_general_ci). I have successfully created a fulltext index consisting of these two fields. I also modified ft_min_word_len=1; in the MySQL config file and it has been picked up by the MySQL server as evident by SHOW VARIABLES after restarting both MySQL server and the hardware server box;
The problem I am facing is that after I execute either REPAIR TABLE xxxxtablename QUICK or REPAIR TABLE xxxxtablename EXTENDED, the fulltext index is not populated with indices data as evident in the "Cardinality field in PHPMyAdmin" that I use to manage the MySQL database. I have some 2000 records in the database, but the cardinality field displayed in PHPMyAdmin is always 1. When I issue the SQLs search using FULLText search, it always returns no result (which I assume is pretty much reasonable because the fulltext index is empty)
You can logon my PhpMyAdmin and I could also restart either MySQL or the server box. The data in the table needs to be preserved!
I can pay US$30 for this if you could solve this problem as I assume this is pretty much a "gotcha" catch. I have already googled it for a while for relevant solutions. So don't bid if you don't know exactly what I am talking about or the real cause/solutions to this problem per se.
I only pay for real result that is verifiable on my MySQL server with PhpMyAdmin. I won't pay for your idea or suggestion of any sorts or whatever else. No result, no payment.
Hope I made it clear. Your bids will be much appreciated.
