I'm looking for a Digg style website based off the Pligg ([url removed, login to view]) software package. The main difference is this is an images site, not content. Users will upload images and tag images with certain characteristics. A url will also be provided when uploading an image and that url will have to be converted to affiliate (ie. someone says product is located at [url removed, login to view], need to convert to [url removed, login to view])
The image will have it's own page, like each individual story on digg. On the "upcoming" or "homepage" pages, a thumbnail is displayed. Images are, just like digg and pligg, promoted to the front page based on the number of votes. A search feature will need to be built out that allows users to search for each specific characteristic of the images (ie. the characteristics that were applied to each image when uploaded). Will provide a psd for the website - you'll have to integrate it.
Those are the main components, but their are still smaller tasks. We're looking for a programmer who's creative, dedicated, and willing to go the extra mile. Some critical thinking will need to be applied and we expect input, new features/ideas, and constant updates/demo and on the project.
Must be willing to sign an NDA. A full spec sheet and psds will be provided on signing of NDA. Ideal candidate will also be available via Skype video, though that is not a requirement.
