Valhalla Comics, Inc. is looking for a web developer who is proficient with PHP and MySQL and capable of producing a professional looking and responsive web site. The project in question has already been designed with a plethora of pages already developed. The project has not been completed, however, thanks to a few unreliable developers. It is perhaps, 50-66% completed and needs finishing.
The project is an eCommerce comic-book retail / art gallery (artist alley). The web site will have a My Account section, as well as an Artist Account section (both of which contain key information regarding that particular client.
Artist accounts will be able to sell their original art, prints, sketchbooks, and customizable art commission for a sales commission to Valhalla Comics. This is fully customized and operated by Artists, unless requested that Valhalla Comics operate it for them.
That is merely a portion of the project and it is actually near completion at the moment. The biggest portions of this project to be completed are:
1. The checkout process (integration of UPS and USPS shipping APIs, as well as the PayPal Credit Card processing API).
2. The Sales History Reports (both for Artist Accounts and regular client Accounts (in "My Account" on the web site).
3. Subscription module (which will allow for regular and non-regular (irregular) subscriptions for Comic Books (as titles are released on a monthly, bi-monthly (and sometimes less or more frequently) basis). This is probably the biggest sub-project of the development needed.
4. The News Page frontend and backend needs to be completed.
5. The Newsletter function, also needs to be completed.
Much of this information is outlined in the text document I've provided that is attached to this project. You can also view what the current site looks like and how it functions if you visit http://www.valhallacomics.com.
You can view the PSD files used to create the design here: [url removed, login to view] or the JPGs of those files here: [url removed, login to view] You can view the graphics that the site uses here: [url removed, login to view]
Keep in mind that the development was coded in another developers coding style, thus you will have to adapt and use his style. If you are the winning bidder, my previous guy is willing to help out any newcomers, so please let me know if you have difficulties understanding what the previous person did or was doing.
Since I've already spent so much money on this project with 3 previous developers, I'm only willing to offer $700-800 for the remainder of the site. As I've mentioned, the site should be about 1/2 to 2/3 completed and this needs to be done ASAP. By ASAP, I do not mean 2-3 months from now. I mean 1-2 weeks. If you can complete what needs to be done within 1-2 weeks, then please feel free to bid. If you cannot at the stated price, then please don't bother, as you're only wasting your and my time. I have dealt with enough procrastinators in the last year.
I will also be using the escrow service here, so please don't get it into your head that I will pay you up front. I've done this before and lost out on some money, unable to regain it, because I wasn't under the escrow protection. Only legitimate programmers need apply.
Thank you very much for taking interest in the project and I look forward to working with you in the near future.
