I am trying to create a database and self check-out/check-in form for a small corporate library. We have under 100 books and I have created a separate barcode for each book. We will have a computer with barcode scanner setup next to the bookcase. I would like for our employees to click a link on the desktop that will open a self check-out form. On that form, first they will scan the book which will then show the title that was scanned. Below that, they will enter their employee ID number along with first name, last name, property they work for, department they work for, phone number, and email address. If record already exists with their employee ID number, all their information should populate automatically after the employee ID number is entered which will allow them to also make changes. After all is done, they click check-out and it will show a confirmation page. I can also send you the database which I have already been working on in MS Access 2010. I also just realized that I am unable to open it in MS Access 2003 so I would like to be able to if any way possible. I would like to have this completed by the end of the week.
