Garage sale listing and accounting software
Budget $750-1500 USD
Garage sale software project
I would like to create a composite piece of online garage sale software (and website)which needs to be able to perform a number of tasks:
A) FLYER AND POSTER DESIGN
Using a drag and drop method – create flyers and larger outdoor signs to advertise the sale. This should be able to be saved in a format that could be given to a commercial printer to print the flyers of posters. The flyers should also be able to be printed on ones’ home printer.
B) GARAGE SALE CHECKLIST
I want to create a standard checklist that can be edited. The checklist must also have a percentage completion analyser.
C) SALES AND COST OF SALES MODULE
This module needs to be able to do a number of different things. It should be used by professional garage salers who will be doing sales for other people or for people just wanting to do a simple sale for themselves.
The basic system should be able to have a list of items for each person whose inventory one will be selling. One will need to be able to identify the inventory item being sold and the amount received for it. The end of the sale should allow for a reconciliation of what was sold as well as a list of inventory per person left (i.e. not sold). There needs to be a calculation of the commission split.
One should also have the ability to give an item a cost upfront – for example where one buys goods at another garage sale and then marks them up for resale.
A final reconciliation should be made for direct garage sale expenses to get the true profit or loss on the sale.
I would also like the list of goods for sale to be able to be put online so that other people could go online before the sale to see what is available. Alternatively the information can be e-mailed to prospective buyers. Facility should also be made for uploading of a picture for each sale item.
I am not sure whether a WordPress site can be modified. This would be ideal as the site would need a blog component.
Users would have to register before they are able to login and use the site.
Future functionality will include being able to download the software onto a stand-alone computer (i.e. offline) and to develop both android and iPod/Ipad apps for this
