Sorry .. not very "technical" (obviously?) ... not sure of terminology.
I'm a 66-year old guy new to Internet marketing, with an idea that *might* help me make a few dollars, which I desperately need to pay the rent. I'm broke & working part-time at the mall.
I had *no* clue as to what dollar-amount to put on this job, so if you are willing and able to do the job for less, God Bless You ... I would greatly appreciate it. (And if my "guesstimate" is terribly low, sorry ... don't mean to offend.)
OK. I'd like to find out A) whether what I want is even feasible, and B) if so, roughly what you might charge to do it for me.
If you think it's "do-able" .. and I think I can afford your fees .. we can discuss the details (the specific site, report, format, etc.) further.
I'd like what I think is called a 'macro' (or possibly a 'utility'?) to search through all the various listings or entries on a popular web site and determine whether a particular .Pdf report is present on any of the listings/entries.
If one is, then I'd like to search that .Pdf report and find a particular set of data (which is usually, but not always) present within it.
And if it's there, extract that data & save it .. not sure .. maybe as a .txt file or in a spread sheet (Excel &/or O/O).
I'd like the to be able to enter a few simple parameters, such as which site(s) to search and what minimum value a field within the .Pdf report should have before the target-data should be extracted and saved ... and maybe in what format the data is to be saved (.txt file &/or [which type of] spread sheet).
