A client of me has a vacation rental website.
They had an Iframe search function on their website, but changed to another reservation software company.
Now the search function (you must be able to search for destination, number of rooms, dates and rates) has to be in XML API.
The database with all the listings is already created, I have the list with the XML API codes for different reguests from the new software company attached. The current site is written in PHP (actually in HTML, but the files are .php.
So you only have to write the code to make the search function work.
1. through XML API there has to come a search function on the homepage, similar like the one that is on now.
Visitors must be able to search for: - development
- dates (availability calendar)
2. Each listing page has a link to the availability calendar and to the reservation/booking page, I need you to make these 2 functions work for only 1 listing.
At the moment the website is written in PHP.
Again, I only want you to implement the XMLAPI codes on the homepage (search function), and I only want you to make the 2 links 'check availability' and 'reserve now or get a quote' work on 1 page only.
In the attached document you will find, besides the XML API codes, more info about the website I'm talking about, and which 2 pages exactly need to be changed.
So you only have to change 2 pages, the homepage and 1 page of one of the listings.
I have read the document and I am confident I can implement the code to interact with their site. I have build quite a few scripts to work with a variety of different XML apis.
