I have an older Foxpro desktop app that we recently converted to VFP to be 32 bit. It consist of one window, and in that we run the character based code programs. the problem is that the programmers hard coded the locations of all fields and labels, so the windows don't act like a real resizable window - nothing moves proportionately when you resize the window frame, therefore I can't make the screen or fonts larger. The product is old enough that we don't want to rewrite it. But enough customers have asked me about a screen magnifier, or enlarger that might work. I've pointed them at the several that are available on market (Big SHot, Zoomtext, etc). But they are not straightforward in use, and are really geared for hard to see folk who want other features.
I would like to have someone build me a simple enlarger that would blow up only the window of our app to 1.5 - 2x size when it's open. Not the whole screen, just my app's window. I need the tool to stay 'resident' on the desktop, so that when my app is launched, it will see it and magnify it, but when closed, nothing else on the screen is affected. I need to be able to mouse around inside the enlarged window, type text, click on things, etc. just like normal, but enlarged.
I don't need an admin screen, as there are no settings to set. I will specify an enlargement ratio, and stick to that. The only other thing is that they can lauch several instances of my app on the same desktop at once, so I want this tool to magnify any and all of the screens open from our app- not just the active window.
I don't need a fancy installer, just the .exe. No spash screens, etc. Just a fast and dirty utility.
