I have developed an Excel model for the total cost of introducing a new material into industrial production. It is designed to be used as a decision tool that engineers and managers can use to determine whether or not adopting the new material makes sense financially. The model consists of a large cost workbook comprising 15 or so spreadsheets into which the user can input his cost data. This same workbook is used for each about 15 scenarios for the way in which the material would be used, including two baseline scenarios for manufacturers and repair shops. (Each Scenario just has different numbers in the worksheets, but all the same formulae.) A financial calculation workbook then allows the user to choose a baseline and any two scenarios. The two scenarios are saved as temporary files and added together, and the costs and incomes compared to the baseline, calculating Net Present Value and other financial numbers. (For example, the baseline might be "make the product out of the current material", while Scenario 1 might be "Continue using the current material, but ramp down over the next 4 years as the new material comes on line", while Scenario 2 might be "Design and qualify the new material and ramp it into production over the next 4 years". Thus the model compares continuing to use the current material with making a changeover to the new material.) I have the model working, including inputting the data. But I am having trouble with getting the Visual Basic programming right to bring up the correct Scenario files and save them so that the financial calculation workbook executes correctly and reliably (sometimes it works and sometimes not). I also need an easy way to provide context-sensitive Help (i.e. help on each page of the workbook), including a way for me to input and modify Help text. I will supply the financial calculation workbook and scenario workbooks in Excel 2002.
## Deliverables
Complete and fully-functional working Excel workbooks containing visual Basic code visible in the VBE. The financial workbook must allow the user to choose the correct Scenario files, modify them, and save them. Then run the calculation by clicking a Calculate button. A help button must be provided on each page of the basic Scenario sheet with an easy way for me to input or change help text. This must come with instructions on how to do this. Complete copyrights to all work purchased.
## Platform
Needs to run under Windows XP, 2002, 98
