Must have familiar working knowledge of MICROSOFT RMS 2.0 - we are running the latest feature packs as well.
This is my 2nd time posting this project - people that responded last time had no experience with RMS - it is required. I've also upped the budget.
Need customization done to both pre-existing WEBSITE shopping cart so when a customer
buys product in STORE it automatically ADJUSTS on website inventory as well.
When customer purchases ON-LINE it sends information to MICROSOFT RMS as well to get inventory straight at both ends.
Right now when a customer buys product in the store we need to manually scan most every item TWICE. Once for their checkout and another on a module on the website so it knows to adjust the inventory. This is way too time laborious and I'm looking to spend the money to streamline this so a customers product is only scanned once at checkout and information is automatically sent.
Several other variables need to be taken into account - on-line shopping cart has items in subscription module that should not adjust inventory, just as store has some items that we need an easy way to flag when ringing up to NOT adjust on website. (pre-orders, etc.)
* Also need ability to catch inventory that may show up on RMS but not showing up on WEBSITE.
Right now website has a module where we have to hand scan each of the items to adjust inventory down on site - when a barcode can not be found it displays the barcode in RED on the screen so we know to manually jot down and adjust later - same thing will need to happen when we're ringing up on RMS.
It is absolutely essential that you are familiar working with Microsofts RMS system to make this customization.
Our website is PHP based.

1) I need the ability for a customer to be rung up through RMS only (meaning not scanning barcodes for checkout and then scanning again to adjust inventory) and the information sent to the website automatically and notify back if there’s a problem with an items barcode.
2) I also need the ability to choose which items at checkout are sent to the website and which are not.
a) some items have no barcodes and are rung generically (example: 6 (barcode) (description) Comic Supplies price (4.50)
b) other items are what you’d consider ‘ON HOLD’ they are NOT in the websites database for fear of someone ordering them when the product is already spoken for. We have a few hundred regular customers that have product held for them on a weekly basis and their checkout of that product should not go to the website and we need some way of indicating what’s sent and what’s not.
3) On the flip side we have some of the same problems on the website that we do in the store.
When a customer makes a purchase on the website, we naturally have to pull all the items from the store to ship to them, but at this point we also have to transfer them out of RMS. While less important than parts 1 & 2, part 3 would also be a time saver if we could automatically send the information down to RMS.
a) In this situation if someone buys something off the website that has no barcode or can’t be found in RMS, it’s much less important to adjust or separate out that information than it is for steps 1 & 2.
