Proximity oriented social site

Concept is based off [login to view URL] This concept is a social site where users can register, identify their postal code, and conduct searches based on who lives near them. Home page will show login/signup details, recent members who joined, featured members. User profiles will consist typically of social profiles (names, pictures, age, gender, interests, hobbies, looking for, relationship status etc). An added underlying characteristic is the user's postal code & address (which is not shown to public). Search functions will be based also typically on social profiles such as searching by name, age range, gender, hobbies etc). However the main concept of this site is searching by distance (5, 10, 20, 50, 100 km from post code 4067) User backend will be typical for users to edit their profile, password, name, pictures, gender, interests, hobbies, looking for, relationship status etc). There should also be a messaging function for user to user communication. As of typical messaging functions, there should be inbox, sent, deleted. (Advanced scalability such as search fields to be incorporated in future should be considered) This site will be in asia and I can provide postal codes that correspond to certain states and locations. That will be the main function of the site. Other advanced features that I may wish to implement in future are 1) Payment gateway (I currently intend the site to be free, but might charge a fee in future therefore there should be scalability to implement payment function in future) For payment gateways, I have not decided on how the revenue model is. However some ideas are 1) Paypal/CC/debit card/bank transfer payment to buy 10 'access cards' to allow user to contact 10 other users 2) One time verification fee of $5 that user needs to pay to verify when he/she signs up 3) Ad supported site For a reference site visit [login to view URL] and [login to view URL] These requirements are fairly concrete and will not change by much. Project is not time sensitive.
