I need a developer who is familiar with real estate websites and the RETS real estate system to update my SQL database and the mls search online.
I previously worked with another developer to create an SQL database and html search page that allowed buyers to search for homes online. We set it up so the database automatically downloaded updates from the local mls every night.
My programmer moved away for his job, and the mls changed to the RETS system, so some of the fields in my database no longer update properly. The SQL database and html pages are still in place.
I need someone to update the search database and website search page so everything properly downloads and displays the information from the MLS.
We don’t use the smart framing template our local MLS provides, so we can customize the fields and look of the output. We want to update some of the input fields so they include the ability to allow a buyer to search for short sales or bank owned foreclosures only. These are existing fields that can be addressed with yes or no options.
The MLS we are accessing is Sandicor from San Diego - [url removed, login to view] We are using the third option listed “You can program your own search engine using Sandicor’s RETS data…. Using raw data and coded fields as used on a listing input form.”
Once the mls search has been completed, there are a number of other site enhancements that we are considering. These will be discussed after completion of the search update.
I need a proposal for the search engine update. Please also include examples of RETS-based solutions / real estate websites you have worked on.
If requested, I can send you my website address and samples of how we want the search display to be updated to include a general search, as well as short sales only or REO foreclosures only. Thanks!
