Hi, first of all hackers target Wordpress lately because it's so easy to bruteforce passwords, there are literally 1000s of bots crawling web for wordpress sites and bruteforcing way in. I know because in my old company few months ago happened same thing clients were hacked not because faulty plugins or code but because their passwords were weak. One scenario: owner of site is Jim, site is about dogs his pass was JimsDogs123....So best way is to secure wordpress is: better password something like: "1}{|€234ga_SDd(@" and pass must NOT have any words that are mentioned anywhere on your site. Next thing is add captcha and/or some server side mods on .htaccess file to ask for another password when you enter admin. This way you won't get hacked again for sure. Second about that wordpress fixes it's no big deal to fix it or improve it. Send me message if you consider me for the job and we can talk more about your site improvements and/or hacker issues.
