We have software to control a display remotely using a Web browser. The User Interface is a Web interface, which is based on ASP. Both our client and server application uses http protocol to communicate between them. The following tasks in our application are using the http protocol: 1. Remote Control: sending and receiving commands to/from ports. The server application is sending commands to our client application to run tasks in client machine. The remote control tasks may be Running Tasks, Scheduling tasks, adjusting the brightness/ contrast of displays etc. 2. Database handling: Update all the data from client application to server application. Database update is calling the asp file, which resides in server and passes all the data to asp file using post method. Asp file parses the data sent by client and updates the database. Need to change all the above tasks from HTTP protocol to SNMP protocol.
