We are in the process of drafting a specification for a project which will entail some Outlook/Exchange customization. We need to get a better idea of what is and is not possible with these applications before we can write the document.
We have already been approved for payment on the RAC system, so can pay immediately if someone can provide assistance promptly with the following questions:
1) Can Outlook Tasks be displayed automatically on the Calendar? If so, how?
2) Can Outlook calendar cell colors be changed conditionally? i.e. - could I programmatically make the cell for 11/15 on my calendar yellow if I have more than 5 meetings that day?
3) Can we trap the Outlook task completion action? i.e. - for tasks of a certain type, when the user tries to click "completed" we would like to present a confirmation dialog ("are you sure you want to mark this task completed?") If the user clicks "Yes" then the task is marked completed, and it is then locked so that the user can no longer edit it. Is this possible?
4) Provide step-by-step instructions for adding a couple of new fields to the Outlook Calendar and Task form (including a combo-box prepopulated with 5 or 6 choices) and "publishing" it for general use.
Written responses to the 4 questions above.
