I'm looking for a programmer fully familiar with the TAL API toolkit for c or c++, not Visual Basic. The job is to modify one of the TAL sample programs ([login to view URL]), attached below. This will not use COM objects, just straight ahead old style calls to TQL functions, as in this example program. The objective of the program I want is to capture the NASDAQ and NYSE ticker streams in real time and write a tab delimited ascii record to a single file according to a format I will provide, one record for each incoming tick. I will also provide the FIDs and other details of the "advises". Multiple simultaneous advises will be active, as in the sample. The program will also write an activity status log to a separate file. The program will run as a service under WindowsXP or 2000pro. Thus, no requests for user inputs can be allowed, however a small text file provided by me will contain certain key run time parameters such as paths for the files, name roots, etc. The program will open new tick and log files at the beginning of each day, and close them at a time specified in the run prarameter file. There will also be a small file used to tell the program whether it is starting normally or restarting from an abnormal ending. The TAL4 format will be used, assuming a RealTick version 7.7 environment or later.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
I am expecting the project to begin during March, and would expect completion by early April.
