Skype stores its Skype-to-Skype call logs in a proprietary 8-bit text format ([url removed, login to view]).
In their good wisdom, the Skype programmers decided Skype would only read the last year of data, even though more is in the file!
I need the entire file (246 records) translated for legal purposes.
Sample file attached. See details.
[url removed, login to view] is the log of Skype-to-Skype voice calls made over the network.
There are 246 record entries in an unknown binary format. Included for each record is at least:
- The Skype userid of the person called
- Their name.
- The date and time of call
- Call duration.
The first 8 records, each 264 bytes long, are attached as a sample file
All I need is the info above extracted.
If you WANTED to write a quick and dirty translation program once you figured out the format, you could release it as shareware and make many people on the net happy, as the info has been requested many places in bboards.
