This is a [url removed, login to view] troubleshooting project.
I've built a custom template based on the 2011 theme. Later, the client wanted a blog. Unfortunately, I can't get the comments to show up.
Here's what I've tried:
+ deactivating all plugins
+ replacing custom [url removed, login to view] code with default 2011 [url removed, login to view]
+ triple checking all discussion settings
+ resaving permalinks
+ many many other things
If you can fix it in 5 minutes. Great. If you can fix it in an hour great. If you fix it (without breaking anything else), I'll pay you.
+ Comment form appearing below each single post
+ All comments, properly threaded and properly displaying, appearing below the comment form on each single post
+ Comments link (with count) appearing properly next to each post title on the Blog page.
+ Comments working fully, with submission, moderation, etc. (normal WP style)
Options for work flow:
1. I can send you a copy of the entire wordpress installation: template files and SQL. You can set it up on your local installation, and let me know if you find the fix, and I will make the line-by-line change in the live site.
2. I can give you direct access to the live site. This is dicey since it is a live site, so I'd prefer not to do this. If the first option is an issue, let me know and maybe we can talk over Skype and build trust where I'll be ready to have you work on the live site.
Let me know if you have questions. (Please, ask questions)
