Client has an existing HTML-basic site. Works fine. She just wants to convert it to Joomla and have it be self-administered...so she can add, edit and delete content easily. She'd also like to BLOG thru this site and add a space/block for video clips, here and there on the site. The focus of this site is an information portal. We will convert her site AND keep all the layout and graphic look and feel that she has currently. So we'll need to find a free template/Joomla (since her site is so simple, layout-wise), set the colorset to the one's she has now and make it into a Joomla 1.5 CMS-based website. We'll keep her existing site up and running as it is...and put this new site onto another domain/URL that I have procured UNTIL it all meets with her approval.
We can stick in dummy video clips for now as well as the BLOG entries to demonstrate that kind of thing. Later on, in another Project PHASE/assignment we'll add a shopping cart for a couple information type products as well as a Membership module for subscriptions (paid), groups, and page restriction viewing.
Her current website (so you can see what is involved) is at:
[url removed, login to view]
I will put this new Joomla website onto one of my reseller account webhosts for this development cycle and later on I will pay you to move it all over to her own webhost and current domain/URL.
PS. Don't know how much something like this should cost because normally I am doing something from scratch and not copying what someone already HAS and LIKES...but wants it merely in a CMS platform like Joomla
IMPORTANT: Don't miss the fact that part of this JOB requirement is to COPY all her existing SITE's content and put it into Joomla in an ORGANIZED and sustainable form. i.e. blocks/categories/pages, etc.
Her content is easily copied (cut and pasted) and the source is viewable...so this shouldn't be a big deal...just a bunch of pages and getting the layout and menus all lined up properly. Also we can do away with some of the standard Joomla setup crap like the DATE and who updated the content pieces.... except for in the new BLOGGING section.
