Project Background:
Our client, an events agency have an existing wordpress website. They are adopting a more agency based business model in an effort to scale up their existing smaller events & kit hire business. As the current site has great SEO, and generates business on that front, they are keeping it in tact but looking to modernise it by adding a new homepage and other core pages. They are presenting the existing site as more of a kit hire and small event service and using the new home/core pages to represent the full service offering of the business. For the sake of the brief we are referring to the new home/core pages [new site] and existing site [old site] as different entities although they will function as one.
Both sites will have a pinned and/or navigation link to switch between them.
Old site:
The old site will stay structurally intact, however we're looking to ‘reskin’ it to modernize it and get inline with the new branding we'll be using on the main site. The site contains around 500 individual pages, but we're assuming they share elements. We have a design already, which focusses on flat, clean, simple presentation of their extisting data.
New site:
The new site will be a vertically scrolling standard wordpress site with blog and around 7 sub pages. It must have a custom contact form using typeform or similar. All content will be supplied.
Considerations:
Both wordpress sites should run on the same server, under the same URL, keeping the SEO on the old site functioning. We're flexible to be advised on any other way which this may work better. There will be a pinned link for the user to navigate between the two sites.
Deadline for the first working draft is 6th Feb.
Both sites will have need to have a 'live chat' service attached.
We're looking ideally for a price for both parts of the project separately, the 'reskin' and the build. Please ask any questions you may have, as we're not experts in putting together briefs for coders.
All designs are already agreed and we're looking for a technical genius to pull it all together!
