I need a VERY simple script. This will take you 20 minutes and I will pay $20; do not bid more or you will be ignored. This is a great starter project for someone looking to build their feedback.
Also, if you spend some time and make it LOOK good (output style) a "tip / bonus" might be in order.
WHAT IS NEEDED:
A program in some "universal" language meaning I want this to be able to show on any device so a stand-alone flash or javascript etc is preferred. Also I want this to operate OFFLINE so there is no need for an internet connection.
WHAT DOES THE "PROGRAM" DO:
Quite simply it is a countdown timer. The operator enters a number of minutes 1 - xxx and it starts counting down showing minutes, and seconds. So, for example, if the operator entered "90" the clock would start counting down from 60 minutes and display like this (59:23 (MM:SS)).
The countdown should look cool in a big, bold, perhaps digital font and should resize with the screen (fill the window).
Below the countdown there are three buttons (start, stop, and [x-value]). The x-value button is labeled by operator input. The start button starts the time, the stop pauses it, and the x-value button will accelerate or decelerate the clock based on operator input.
FLOW:
Menu asks operator to input three values.
1. # of Minutes for Countdown
2. Name of x-value button
3. Speed in x of x-value button
The program then outputs the countdown timer set to the number of time entered (1) and shows the three buttons below with the third button being labeled with the entry in (x-value), and when the x-value button is clicked it multiplies the clock speed x the value (3).
So, if the operator enters as follows:
1 - 60
2 - Phone
3 - 2.5
The countdown would start at 60 (when start is pressed) and the the buttons would be labeled "Start", "Stop", and "Phone". When the "Phone" button is clicked the clock would countdown at 2.5x the speed.
Lastly if the value entered in 3 is less than one the background of the clock will turn GREEN while the x-value button is clicked. Once clicked again the clock and background return to normal. If the value entered in 3 is greater than 1 the background turns RED while the x-value button is clicked. Once clicked again the clock and background return to normal.
THAT IS IT!
If you have any questions please ask -- this is a very easy project. It will mainly be run on a WINDOWS PC but we want flexibility if needed.
I can do this for you in JavaScript for the graphical layout I might use jQuery + jQuery-UI [Javascript libraries]too if that is alright? It will take me longer than 20 minutes probably an hour or two and I don't know if I will be able to start on it right away so don't expect it for at least 8 hours.

Hey! I'm a Swedish software engineering student and I'm on my third year right now. I think i should be able to do this in JavaScript or Java. You to you really. Maybe an simple website (html file) with input field and big countdown text? I think this would be the best bet as HTML and JS don't require any servers at all. Cheers!
EDIT: I also should be able to do it today within a few hours.
