Automate web toggle switch on/off via a timer
Project: Create a web app or iOS app (whichever is easier) to automate turning on and off a toggle switch at Vonage.com.
Curently, each night, I have to manually log into Vonage and click the "do not disturb" switch to turn it on, and each morning, login and click the same "do not disturb" switch to turn it off. This is a pain to do this twice a day, everyday.
The app would allow the user to enter and save
1. the Vonage user ID and password (pic1)
2. the start time and end time for each day of the week. (pic2)
3. the Vonage phone number
Once the user enters the required information (user ID, password, phone #, start and stop times) the application will:
1. Use the stored ID and PW to log into [url removed, login to view]
2. Navigate to the tab with the stored phone #
3. Turn on or off the do-not-disturb toggle switch according to the stored start and stop times.
Please see the attached pictures (pic1 - vonage [url removed, login to view] & Pic3 - Vonage toggle [url removed, login to view]) to see the log-in and navigation.
If nothing is changed, the app will continue to turn on and off the do not disturb each day.
[url removed, login to view]
I am open to the UX / screen layout if you find a more efficient way to have the user enter the on/off start/end information.
You have a coice whether to build an application
A. (Pic2 - [url removed, login to view]) that will interact with functionality on [url removed, login to view]
- OR -
B. If you are more versed in iOS, you can toggle the same switch in the Vonage iOS app. I believe the iOS app would be easier because login is saved in the Vonage iOS app, requiring one less step, as the user is already logged in.
