Setup of Plugins causes unwanted page requests that kill the webserver after a while.
Current setup wich is not changeable:
Plugin Jsonimporter collects REST Data from an external API. The Plugin transforms this into a RSS XML site as a shortcode added to a static site in wordpress. This Site is calld by the Smart-Slider as an dynamic Slide Generator.
Problem: In the log files we noticed too much requests to the endpoint of the rss. May caused from the smart slider. We enabled the SmartSlider Cache but the requests still exists. We thought of a borken cache but Support of SmartSlider promised a working cache. So where does the requests come from?
Task: Find out additional resources that will cause the high rate of requests or determine SmartSlider as the offender.
Goal: decrease the requests to one per day managed by the smartslider cache (excludes normal requests by users)
Website: [login to view URL]
RSS Url: [login to view URL]
JsonImporter Pro: [login to view URL]
Smart Slider 3 Pro: https://smartslider3.com/+
Hoster: [login to view URL]
Log-Files are accesable via Hoster Web-UI
why not directly import the json feed to smartslider
Because it is not supported yet.
Hope you could support us!
