I will give you a quick run down:
Bought open cart website at [url removed, login to view]
template was successful installed on our hosting account
Bought dedicated (static) IP address for the site
Bought SSL Certificate from Comodo
SSL Certificate was successful installed by the hosting provider
Now, here are my problems:
The website and the https is already working. However, there are links/images in our site that are not secure. All references on an https page must be secured or the browser will automatically remove them and the green padlock will not show. To fix this, we (or someone who knows what they doing) needs to go through the configuration of our website and make sure all links are relative or use https.
I was also advised that another option is to create an .htaccess file in the DocumentRoot folder to force a given website or path to use https, redirected from http
So obviously, I would like to get this fixed before we start editing the template so that we don't have any more error messages popping up.
A tool to do so was provided by the hosting company.
Please see the attached files for more info.
And thanks for looking into this and showing your interest.
