Looking for some ace WordPress theme designers to convert a PSD template design into a (custom) Wordpress theme based on those designs.
I have 3 PSD's -- the Homepage Template, the Post Template, and the Page Template. The other WordPress theme sections (category pages, tag pages, etc) will be standard and we don't need any template pages for those.
Parts of the Homepage will require some PHP coding to implement the widgets. We have some of that PHP coding already done on the main site, but you will need to import that working code over to the WordPress and modify the CSS output so it matches the design as seen on the blog. I've point out these PHP sections in the attached images.
A few of the sections (on the homepage) I want the ability to add, modify, control that data from within WordPress itself -- this means it's dynamic data and should be controllable within WordPress.
There's a lot of custom features you need to build into the theme, especially the homepage template:
1) ability to create a CUSTOM ad with the image + text in the backend. This will display on the homepage and on the posts after the content -- SEE IMAGE
2)show xenforo forum feed in sidebar (we have the PHP code already done, but you will need to import it and adapt it for wordpress)
3)other sections to show dynamic data from our main site's database
4) ability to show a list of book releases for the month -- with images of those books, links to amazon, titles, and descriptions. I would like to be able to add these items, delete, or modify them directly from the backend
*Create the Theme exactly to PSD specifications (it needs to look the same as in the PSD)
*You will create a completely responsive Theme based on the newest version of WordPress
*You will code up custom parts of the theme in PHP to implement some of the extra features. I have most of that code, but you will need to take it and adapt it for the wordpress. Ideally, I want this implemented as plugins for futureproofing.
*Some elements of the theme I want to control from the wordpress so they will be dynamic. These would be some of the sections.
*You will install the theme on my server and set it up so it's completely working and linked up with the main website and databases
*You will fix any major bugs or issues with the theme, even after it's done for 1 year
== THEME EXPECTATIONS==
*Be based on the latest version of WordPress currently out
*Be Completely Responsive
*Properly enqueueing styles and scripts.
*Putting any custom functionality into a plugin instead of the WordPress theme (this is important for future redesigns)
*Delivering clean, light code that validates. If you write shoddy bloated code, don't apply. I've had developers who have done a horrid job with creating wordpress themes on bloated code. I want clean, LIGHT code.
*Quick Loading Times (we will check it with [url removed, login to view] and it MUST SCORE WELL). If the theme scores poorly with load times and there are a lot of speed-related issues that show on this, well, don't expect to get paid until you fix those issues.
*Support for 1 year (which includes updating the theme to be completely compatible with new versions of wordpress). We can work out future update costs after.
==FUTURE WORK ==
If you do a good job with this template, there are 4 or 5 more EXACTLY the same I will want you to do. The only difference is the actual colors and images -- the dimensions, features, widgets, and everything are basically the same template.
If you do good work, I have at least 4 MORE just like it that you can also do for me. But only if you do a bang up job on this theme.
Payment for this theme from start to finish is $400 USD.
== HOW TO APPLY ==
Send me a message stating (after you LOOK at the images) why you are the best choice for this job, your experience creating custom themes from PSD templates, and address exactly how you are going to do this project.
