My names is Jonathan. My partner and I run a small serviced accommodation business based on the south coast of England.
To run our business we use various bits of software to manage our guest bookings and communications, and general business activity, including marketing through online travel agents ([login to view URL] & AirBnB). There are a number of tasks that currently completed manually, but could be made more efficient by automating.
The first specific problem that I'd like to fix: Automate the creation and communication of a guest specific collection code. This involves taking a trigger from our channel manager software (Tokeet), which is picked up by Zapier, transferred to our KeyNest account (online key management account), then the KeyNest collection code automatically sent through to our guest (SMS, email, or both).
For someone who's used to working with these kind of tools and API's this is probably a fairly easy task, but for me it would take hours of learning.
